The governing body of The Conrail Historical Society, Inc, is our Board of Directors. There are nine directors on the board, which are responsible for the direction and day to day operations of the society.
Board members serve three-year terms. They are elected to the board by the society's membership, with three directors coming up for election at the end of each year. At the start of the following year, the Board elects its own directors to three officer positions (President, Secretary, and Treasurer). A Vice President may be appointed by the board, but it is not required. Each director also serves as the chairperson of one of the society’s nine committees.
