The Conrail Historical Society is holding its second quarter 2024 membership meeting at two Rochester railroading landmarks: the Rochester Model Railroad Club and the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum!

The schedule for the day will be as follows:

  • 9:00 AM - Attendees will meet at the Rochester Model Railroad Club, located in the basement of the First Universalist Church of Rochester at 150 S Clinton Ave, Rochester, NY 14607. • 11:00 AM - Attendees will return to their personal vehicles and drive about 20-25 minutes to the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum, located at 282 Rush Scottsville Rd, Rush, NY 14543. There is ample parking at the museum’s Industry depot (former Erie), located right alongside the all-Alco route of the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad.

  • 12:00 Noon - Attendees will enjoy a pizza lunch and a brief business meeting inside the Industry depot.

  • 1:15 PM - Attendees will board the museum’s train for a 15-minute ride from the Industry depot up the hill to the rest of the museum premises. The museum’s shop building and various pieces of equipment will be open for exhibit. The collection of over 40 pieces of rolling stock includes former Conrail N3A, N5C, N5G, N10, N11, and N21 cabooses, and a highlight of the collection is former Conrail “hammerhead” RS3m #9920 (restored as Lehigh Valley #211).

  • 3:30 PM - Attendees will board the museum’s train for a 15-minute trip to return down the hill to their vehicles at the Industry depot.
